Senior train discount?

We are over 60 and want to travel by train from Milan-varenna, from varenna to bolzano, bolzano to Verona,
Venice to Trieste, isn't there a discount for this much travel for seniors? HELP!

Additional comment about senior discounts beyond trains -- always ask and be prepared to show a passport. Some senior discounts will be limited to EU citizens, some will have a sign to that effect and still give you the discount. I think it depends on who is selling the tickets. Italy was very mixed with majority of the time only for EU citizens. Spain was the reverse in that everyone got the discount if they could prove age. We were in Germany and Czech Republic last week and it was about 50/50. Don't be afraid to ask.

Not for being over 60 but there are discounts for advance purchase.

The advance purchase discounts do not apply to local trains (regionale) for which there are no seat reservations. Many of your proposed trips would be on such trains. There used to be a discount card ("Carta Argento") available for purchase by seniors, which afforded discounts on rail travel in Italy. Even IF IF still offered today, I doubt that it would be worthwhile to a foreigner in Italy for a short period of time.
