Are there any senior discount train travel passes in Italy. I want to go from Rome to sorrento and then from sorrento to Perugia.

You can buy a Carta Argento for 30 euros per person and get discounts on some trains. But anyone gets just as good or better discounts by purchasing reserved tickets up to three months in advance.
Regular fares for Rome-Naples-Perugia are about $150 per person without any discount. Sorrento is served by a separate local railway called Circumvesuviana.
