Are there senior discounts on the train from Florence to La Spezia? Also, are there tours to Como from LaSpezia?

From Florence to La Spezia one rides the regionale trains and they are the same price for everyone, €13.50 per person. Not too bad.
In my opinion it's a pretty long trip to Lago di Como from La Spezia. You could probably hire a private driver, but it will be costly to do so. Any chance you can carve out a couple of nights to spend somewhere around the lake?
