Don't recall where I read this: take bus #75 from Termini for a great tour of the city & monuments. Does anyone know where this goes and where it ends/where to get off?
See if this comes up. You'll need to zoom in for the map of the line to show up.

Sam - terrific! This may be it! On the map, do you think it's the purple line from Termini that goes by Circo Massimo, Colloseo, a lot of other stuff, crosses the river and ends at Via Nicolo Perotti? Looks like a very long bus ride, but a pretty darned cheap tour!!
That's it exactly. The other lines are Metro lines.
On weekends, that bus route changes and does not pass the Colosseo. Until the new mayor changes it, that area is completely pedestrianized on Saturdays and Sundays.
Zoe, thanks loads for the schedule tip (plus spell-check!). End of the line at Via N. Perotti appears to be in Trastevere, looks like a nice area on Google maps. Having spent my adult life in Chicago, I know there are certain places one would NOT want to get off the bus and cross the street to wait for a bus going in the opposite direction!
