Self Drive Boat Rental in Varenna

We are looking to rent a boat to spend a few hours on Lake Como during our stay in Varenna. In Rick’s “Milan & The Italian Lakes” guidebook he lists two companies that have boat rentals out of Varenna.
- Lake Como Boat
- Varenna Rent A Boat
I am trying to make a decision on which company to rent from. Is there anyone with somewhat recent experience doing business with either of these two companies that could share their experience and help me to choose which one to go with?

We did this exact thing, and it was FUN. It was Varenna Rent A Boat, however it was in 2018. We booked their smallest boat (just two of us). Easy to pull in and out of the dock, the boat was easy to handle, they gave us a (cartoonish) map illustrating all the estates on the lake, and away we went. It was a fun day, we packed ourselves a boat picnic. Go for it!
