Seeking gourmet groceries in Venice

I'll be staying in Venice for a few weeks in May. Looking for specialty grocery stores or markets that sell high quality cheeses, olives, breads, baked goods, cured meats, etc. The last time I was in Venice, I didn't find anything like this. The chain grocery stores only had conventional items. I know Venice is not a foodie type destination like Bologna, Rome and other cities.

I haven't shopped for specialty groceries in Venice, so I don't know what you'll find at this outpost of the Spar chain:

Despar Teatro Italia, Campiello de l'Anconeta, 1939-1952. It's very near Gelato di Natura.

That store was formerly a theatre, and it is gorgeous. I love just looking at the interior. It feels like the sort of place where you'd find more than the usual selection of cheeses, etc., but I confess I haven't looked. The website shows the current hours to be 8 AM to 9 PM daily.

I concur with acraven regarding Despar Teatro Italia, Campiello de l'Anconeta, 1939-1952. We bought our groceries there and the selection was quite good. As a bonus, the upstairs may have an art showing. We saw Hilary Clinton's redacted emails there in the "oval office".

The morning market by the Rialto bridge has a huge selection of fresh food stalls, including everything you mention above as well as fish, meat, fruit and vegetables.

I like the look of Nonna Bruna, Sestiere Dorsoduro 3829, but I haven’t been there yet. They seem to sell things like cheese, meat, and olives from producers they know. I look forward to paying a visit—or two!—this summer.

Thanks for the suggestions. It seems like Venice has very limited high quality options, probably because it's a day tripper destination.
