I am finding that there are thousands of great agriturismos in Tuscany. Can someone reccomend a 2 bedroom apt. inTuscany in May? Cretaoile is already booked.

Vicki: This may be obvious, but did Isabella (Cretaiole) mention the apartments she rents in Castelmuzio? We've stayed at Cretaiole twice, and during our most recent visit had the opportunity to meet some folks who were staying "in town." They seemed to love it and they were able to participate in all of Cretaiole's scheduled activities. This would be an alternative that I think you'd still be very happy with (and maybe get more of a true Tuscan village experience).
Vicki, Last May we stayed in two agris in Tuscany and Umbria, and loved them. Both were less than 75 EU/nite, both had quiet ,large self-contained apts, both had fantastic owners, both placed us in good locations for exploring the area, and both had pools. Both offered larger apts. Neither provided meals, but our price point ruled that out. The one in Umbria was outside of Orvieto. It was an apt in the owners farm house. We drove to Orvieto many nites for dinners, or ate in one of the hill towns. (agri Frallarenza). The one in Tuscany was between Firenze and Sienna, about a 1/2 mile off the freeway in the Chianti area, with a great view
