Seeing the Last Supper in Milan - Best of Italy in September 2018

Before my Best of Italy Tour in September, I am wanting to see "The Last Supper" in Milan. I know that tickets are hard to get and sell out early and quickly.

Is it better to try and get tickets on my own (through the official website) or seeing it through a city tour of some kind?

If a city tour, do you have a recommendation as to which one?

Many thanks and happy travels!!!

We booked a tour through City Wonders. It covered the Duomo (not the rooftop), Sforza Castle as well as the Last Supper. It was about 3 hours long and we really enjoyed it.

As soon as tickets opened up for the date I wanted, I quickly booked them myself. We didn't feel the need for a tour in Milan, as the sights are easy to navigate by yourself. They are strict about your entry time, so keep that in mind on the day of your visit. Seeing "The Last Supper" was a highlight of your trip. Enjoy!
