Question on whether to "upgrade" my carry on and day pack, and also clothing. I made 2 two week solo trips these past few years ('19 to Germany/Austria & '22 to France) and have a 2 week to Italy (the big 3 and a day trip outside Florence) in October.
I've been reading more of the posts on pickpocketing, etc. and of course becoming a bit more concerned. I have had no issues with the previous trips. I'm a 66 male in good health, love to walk and see some sights and basically soak it all in. Staying in BNBs. I travel light using the RS Carryon w/wheels backpack (40L and 5.5 lbs)) and the Civita day pack. Clothing, mostly pant concern--I have lightweight, quick wash, at least 1 zippered pocket on each pant , and use the RS the hidden waist wallet.
So, do I get the expensive travel security pant(s) for $115 with all the bells and whistles of zippered double/triple "deep" pockets or hang with the current? Regarding the bags, PacSafe (45L 4 lbs.), so holds as much as the RS) for $250 and a small cross body sling bag to be worn in the front? If the $ were not an issue.
Any other bag suggestions for back pack and day bag?
