About 11 years ago I went to a church in Florence at a special door and upstairs to a woman who only spoke French to get tickets for Uffitzi. I received this info on this forum.
Is this still possible and where is the church again, please?
Kind regards
This is what the Uffizi's website states:
"Bookings in Florence
You can purchase your tickets to visit the Uffizi Galleries at the following ticket offices:
Ticket office at the Uffizi (pre-sale service). If there are queues, then it is better to go to other sales
points.
Ticket office at Pitti Palace
Ticket office at the National Archaeological Museum of Florence (Piazza della Santissima Annunziata 9b, Florence).
Ticket office at the Orsanmichele Museum (Via de'Calzaiuoli, Florence).
Ticket offices in all the State museums in Florence, like the National Museum of Bargello (Via del Proconsolo 4, Florence)."

The "Opera Your Preview" site Rick lists (link below) just throws you into the official b-ticket site for advance booking of many Florentine museums.

Anyway, tickets purchased online or in Florence will be for a specific day and time slot, and if you wait until you're in Florence, it's possible they won't have them for dates/times you want to visit.
