On a previous trip to Bologna, we saw the popular sites (climbed the tower, toured the Seven Churches, walked up to the Madonna di San Luca, visited the Anatomical Theatre); took a food tour within the city as well as the amazing Italian Days all-day food tour; and did day trips to Ravenna and Parma.
We're planning to go back early March 2027. We'll spend a couple days eating and wandering the streets, but would love to hear about lesser-known experiences, or which day trips to take. I'm thinking probably Moderna? Would love 1-2 other small city places. (We've been to Florence, Milan, and Venice.)
