Seatbelts in taxis / car services

Hello,
We'll be traveling with our family of four this summer in Florence (and other parts of Italy). With one of us having been in an auto accident in the past, we are particularly wondering about seatbelt in taxis—not car seats for infants, but seatbelts for adults.

Do taxis in Florence typically have enough seatbelts for a party of 4? What about car services (for transport to the airport, etc)?

Any tips? Thanks so much, Michael

I'm almost always able to find them and I always wear them. We're never a party of 4 though, so I don't look around for that sometimes-elusive center seatbelt that the 4th person would require in a sedan.

Thanks, that is very encouraging. Any parties of four with experience in this regard? Cheers

They largely use the same models of cars that are sold worldwide like Toyotas, Mercedes Benz, etc. like in this photo or this one.
Taxi cabs in Florence use mostly luxury car models that are not older than 4 years.
Why would the manufacturers remove the seat belts for Italian taxis? Seat belts are mandatory in Italy for both front and rear seat passengers.
In any case, you can assure your traumatized passenger that you are lucky if traffic within Florence moves at over 15 mph. It's often faster to walk and the airport is practically inside the city center.
