Lufthansa has just notified me of a seat assignment change after our entry forms were submitted. Do I need to edit the entry forms and resubmit before checking in for our flight?
the purpose for collecting seat numbers is for your protection in case a seat neighbour is found to be positive for covid. They can track and trace and warn you.
If they have the wrong number they may notify you falsely, and you may miss a genuine notice.
I'd have thought that having the right seat assignment is in your own best interest.
Nigel-I understand the reason and I refused to change seats with another traveler on a flight to Switzerland for that reason. However, Lufthansa sent me an email telling me that our seats were changed less than 10 hours before our check-in time after all forms were submitted and approved. Should I just correct it on the eup website and print new copies to carry with us, or do I have to try to resubmit to the airline?
The airlines know what seat they end up seating you in. I personally would leave the form alone for fear of something going wrong with it being issued. That being said, nobody even checked my dPLF form in July or just two weeks ago when I went to Italy again. Not in the US or in Italy.
