Sophie Minchilli joins him in Puglia. She does food tours in Rome for anyone interested.

".James May : Our Man in Italy" is a new series on Amazon Prime. He has a Brit's sense of humor , and explores all aspects of each Italian area, not just the food. We just started it, and the photography is beautiful. Makes me really anxious for our 2023 trip.

Let's just say he is no Anthony Bourdain.

That's a relief, in the end it appears Tony hated his fans and was tormented by the public persona he (and others) created for himself. I'm glad Tucci is actively trying not to fill Tony's shoes and make his own kind of show.

Wait, is this a third season? It seems like Season 2 was just on, and I only caught the first show. The James May thing I saw the whole series earlier this year. Its more unpolished and therefore more interesting, and its about more than food.

Agree about Anthony Bourdain. His first book was brilliant. After that, he became marketed as a "bad boy" that people watched to see him get snarky.

Thrilled to watch another series! I find Stanley authentic and his enthusiasm for Italy infectious!
