I'm staying in varenna the next 4 nights but I need some more "film". Anyone know a store in a town on lake como, bellagio, como, etc that would sell SD cards. Varenna would be best but I highly doubt it. Last resort, somwhere in Milan or Venice? I'll be in either possibly
by weeks end.

You may pay a bit more, but I have seen memory cards sold at souvenir shops. They're usually located near the register. I have even seen them sold at outdoor markets; there are usually a few vendors that sell mobile phone accessories including memory cards.
I'd think that a large department store or electronics store would sell what you need--I'd try Milan:
