Looking to go scuba diving while staying in the cinque terre. Has anyone had an experience they care to share?
I didn't see any evidence of scuba while there. There seemed to be a lot of fish and clear water although too cold (in October) to dive without a full suit.
You will probably have to google it and see if there are any dive shops nearby.
Riomaggiore has a dive shop down by the harbor. I didn't notice any in the other towns but then wasn't looking for 'em.

Set up Google Earth and set it to show you dive spots (they appear as red & white diver flags). There seem to be be several along that coast.
Go also to http://www.scubaboard.com and search for "cinque terre". The results look good!
Enjoy!
Thanks everyone for your responses. I would still love to hear from someone...anyone who has been in the water...anywhere in italy???
I ended at what many call a "dirty" beach close to Rome. I thought it was nice! I'll be in Cinque Terre a week or so...I'll let you know. I'd love to scuba and was planning on doing it in Croatia. I might try to grab some snorkel gear and check it out if I can find it cheap.
well i nkow my answer is quite late..
