The website says they’re only selling through June 30th right now. They posted that note back in January. I would expect that sales for October will be up soon.

We visited Sept 2022. We got tix when we got there. We could have gone in immediately if we wanted to. I doubt you will have trouble in Oct.

It has generally been possible to get tickets a very few days in advance, maybe even the day before. However, if you're on a tight schedule and really need a particular time slot, I wouldn't cut it that close.

Don't be discouraged, keep checking. This is a very small chapel but it is one of my best memories of a trip to Italy in 8 years ago. The colors are startlingly sharp, and a wonderful opportunity to see an artist who was speaking to every day working people. The town of Padua/Padova is lovely if the you have the time to visit St. Anthony's Cathedral or the medial school.

I completely agree with SusieQQ about Padova and especially the chapel. In fact, I booked a double visit (back-to-back) and that was an utter delight. In between the two visits, you get to stay in the chapel with one guard and anyone else who booked a double. For about ten minutes, only three of us were in there. And there's so much to see that you can easily spend the whole time discovering new things.

They just became available through August.

I'd been watching those tix and The Last Supper, which I finally bought today for Sept 5th.

I don't know why Scrovegni didn't follow suit and open through September. I'm going to continue to keep an eye on that.

Good lucK!

Sorry to barge in, but since a few of you have been there already, I'm wondering if you'd have feedback on the night viewing of the chapel? I read about it 3-4 years ago and am just-now anticipating going.

My current plan is to see the chapel as a day-trip, so to speak, as we go from Venice to Ravenna.
If the night viewing is worth it, I'd start assessing our optoins.

I went there as a teenager 50+ years ago when you could just walk in and spend all the time you wanted to. So, I did. My art teacher loved Giotto and I guess taught me to. Still love him. Have taken several art history classes about Giotto and read quite a few books. Went again to the chapel in the fall of 2019 when we were staying in Padua for 9 nights, first for the usual 15 minutes which was nowhere nearly enough, and then a couple days later for the double nighttime visit which was great, especially because you get to have the chapel almost all to yourself between the regular groups of people. There is a lot to look at and I don't know how it is possible to do more than glance at half of the paintings in 15 minutes. My husband (nooooooooo fan of late medieval/early Renaissance art although he's seen quite a lot of it because of me) also really enjoyed spending a total of an hour with Giotto.

There's no point in taking the time to take photos because there are great ones online and those aren't at weird angles. I only took a few of specific things I wanted to remember to look up about later.

i'm pretty sure that if you booked two 15-minute visits during the day, you'd have to go out and then back in again between times in the chapel, and watch the little video again in the special chamber.

Take mosquito repellent if you decide to do the double evening ticket because you wait to go in outside at dusk.

Hello - I'm new here...
We are hoping to visit the Chapel on 4 September, but the website only shows tickets to the end of August.
I emailed them several days ago but no response.
WIll the Chapel definitely be open for visitors in September, i.e. is it just a question of keep checking the website?
We only have a small window when we can visit, and I'd be devastated if we couldn't.
Thank you for anyone who can share some insight!

I have no inside information, but usually if an attraction is going to be closed for some special reason, that information appears on the website well in advance. I imagine they just don't put tickets on sale very far ahead. It's a good idea to buy a bit ahead of time, especially if your timing options are limited, but I've never heard that the Chapel sells out very early. I've twice purchased a ticket just one day before my visit, most recently in September of last year.

Tickets are open if you haven't purchased them yet. We got ours for Sept 2. Still a lot of openings. Not nearly as popular as The Last Nosh.
