Scrovegni Chapel Reseervations

Hello, I'm trying to buy online tickets for the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua in the Chapel's official website. In order to buy the tickets, the registration page is asking to send a verification code to my phone number. When I enter the number, it says the number is not valid, even though it is the correct number using the country code. I tried different options and it doesn't take it. I am using an American phone number. Any experiences or suggestions?

There are a number of threads recently complaining about the website and buying tickets. I don't know if there was ever a resolution but I suggest searching for Scrovegni in the forum to read the previous threads and see if there was ever a solution.

I personally had trouble buying tickets when I was in Italy but I thought it was because I was trying to the next day. But it turns out maybe it's just broken.

Good luck,

I have plans to go there in September so I hope it gets figured out. I do see the website says you can book thru June of this year. I found this email address:

[email protected]

There is a link on the Scrogegni website to purchase pass to the chapel plus the other venues in Padua as well as transportation. It isn't much more than the chapel itself. Have you tried that link?

The only other things I can suggest is looking for a contact email for Tourist information. Or contact your lodging for assistance.

Keep us posted.

You should use a temporary phone number because receiving a verification code is what it's meant for, so it will work. At least, it works for my verification purposes all the time and that's why I'm recommending

I had this problem which I resolved by emailing the ticket site. They got me a temporary verification code to use and I was able to get my tickets. Good luck!

Ygoer, did you get this to work? I was just able to successfully purchase tickets.

If not, when you enter the phone number make sure to include "+" and "1" so +1 and then your area code and the rest of your phone number.

Also, I entered my phone number, and I never got the authentication number. For whatever reason, it was sent to my husband's phone. I'm guessing his number is on the credit card account?

In any case, please let me know if you are still having difficulty. I am happy to help.

I think they have fixed the send-OTP-to-phone problem quite recently. I failed to purchase the tickets about a month ago but I had success two days ago.

If you lived in North America, the phone format is +14081234567, no parentheses, no dashes.

Encouraged by recent positive reports posted here, I purchased tickets today and had no problem. I already had an account with Viva Tickets and I used the same credit card that had previously worked with them.

I bought the evening "Giotto under the stars" option where you can get 2 consecutive time slots for a longer visit, supposedly at a discount. I am not sure if there was a discount. It also looks like maybe my tickets don't include the other museums that the daytime tickets cover. I am very happy to have more time with the Giotto frescoes. I am curious if anyone else has taken this option.
