Why does Trenitalia not post prices for certain routes? They have the schedules sure, that isn't the problem. I'm only looking at dates toward the end of this month. But how do I find out what the trip will cost? Ex- Milan-Varenna Genoa-Vernazza Vernazza-La Spezia Lucca-Florence

Those are all going to be on regional trains. "R" R trains are only priced about a week in advance on Trenitalia. So pick a day of the week that corresponds to your travel day but within the next week. You'll see the prices. As I recall, R tickets are good for 6 months and must be validated when you travel. There are no seat reservations on R trains.

You're looking at local trains, and they generally don't post prices more than 1 week out; why, I can't imagine. So, just pick the same day of the week you're planning to travel - only within the next week. Milan > Varenna: €5,75. Genova > Vernazza: €6,00. Vernazza > La Spezia: 15-32 mins; €2,10 for all. Lucca > Florence: 1h20m-1h45m; €5,20 for all. NOTE that although they may cost the same, some routes have very different travel times, and some will be direct compared to others with 2-3 changes!!! I think that's it!
