Has anyone been able to secure one of these tours? I emailed for a tour as directed in the Rick Steves Italy travel book but did not receive a response.

We just went for the third time this past October 14. If you go on the Reservations link on the Scavi website, you will see a link up top to the far right of “Contact Us” labeled “Prenotazioni Visite” (Visit Bookings). If you click on that link, it will take you to the form you fill out to request a visit. Fill out this form and click “Invia” (send) and your request will be sent directly to the Scavi Office. We normally hear back within a day.

Yes! I’ve done it. How long have you waited for a response/how far out is your trip? The excavations office operates on its own schedule….
