Scavi Tour confirmation?

A month ago I requested a tour for March 2020. I gave availability for the entire week we're in Rome plus all of the other requested information. I've not received a response but I'm not sure I should be concerned and follow up.

I recall reading that they respond to the soonest requested dates first, which makes sense. Something I read here (but cannot locate now) led me to think that I won't receive a response until around November. The last time I booked this tour was years ago but I recall receiving a response within days and I think I made the request 6 months in advance. Can anyone verify this or share their recent booking experience?

Oh, and I sent the request by fax but provided my email. Any idea whether the response will come by fax or email? If I send a follow up I plan to email it with a copy of the fax attached.

2 years ago we conducted our transaction by email. Check your spam folder in your email box. I recommend you email your request ASAP.

Send the email. Then be patient. Worst thing that could happen would be two reservations. 🙃

I'm wondering if its too far out?

I booked our March 2019 Scavi tour back in October of 2018. I gave them two dates and preferred times and within 24 hours got a reply with my first choice so I would try again in - mebbe in a couple of months?

I requested my tickets in the beginning of February 2019 for July 2019 dates and received a response within 24 hours. I'm thinking you may be too far out at this point and they are just holding on to your request until its closer to your date. I read recently that someone on this forum heard back after a month.

I requested tickets on January 26, 2018 for my trip on November 8, 2018. I heard back within a few days by e-mail. There were actually two e-mail addresses on the e-mails: [email protected] and [email protected] I think I would do a search for scavi in your e-mails just to see if it went to junk or your missed it. After you receive the e-mail, you have to pay for it and you will get another e-mail confirming payment and instructions for the tour. You pick up the tickets at the entrance that day.

An update: On August 27 I sent a follow up email. This is the response I received on August 29: "At moment we don’t program the visit for 2020. We will sent an answer in September 2019."

I'm glad to know the email is landing in my inbox. Both email addys listed by the previous poster were in the signature line of the email. The sender email was [email protected].

Fwiw another update: I received the confirmation and request for payment on or about 9/6/19. Scavi is booked. Let the rest of the trip planning begin.
