I just wanted to post to forewarn anyone in case they didn't get a notice:
I got an email this morning cancelling my September Scavi tour :( The email noted-- "due to maintenance work in the archaeological area under St. Peter, guided tours of the necropolis and tomb of St. Peter will be suspended from 19 August 2024 to 3 November 2024.".
I'm unbelievably saddened by this, but understand that things happen and my plans don't always go as I want them too :(
