I'll be in Rome in June 09 for my honeymoon. When i was there a year ago i was disappointed to see that there was scaffolting on the 4 rivers fountain as well as at the top of the spanish steps. Does anyone know if that will still be up this year? Has anyone recently gone and seen them...can i get an update? Also, does anyone know what attractions might be hidden with scaffolting now?
Thanks!
I was disappointed that the scaffolding was up on BOTH of my trips (1 year apart). However, I have good news for you:
Thank You so much! What good news!
That was a great article. Can't wait to see it - just 2.5 weeks till I'll be there.
I'm with you, Lee. Sounds like we'll be there at the same time.
Crystal, I was in ROme in October. The scaffolding is gone from the church at the top of Spanish Steps. Can't remember about 4 Rivers
The scaffolding at the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona has been down since mid-December. There is a separate area behind it that is blocked off, but all fountains in Navona are currrently scaffold-free.
Thanks everyone! :)
