Hi, we will be in Sorrento for 3 full days mid-October and are planning out our activities. I’m thinking Capri on Thursday, might be less crowded; Pompeii on Friday and the archaeology museum in Naples on Saturday. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Debra, I'd leave your schedule flexible for weather? The museum would be good for a rainy day; Capri not so much. Pompeii could be OK in drizzle but probably no fun in heavy rain.
Do check to see what's going on weatherwise in Capri itself before making a decision? It poured buckets on our train from Rome to Naples and during most of the ferry ride to the island but the boat emerged into blue skies and bright sunlight as we were coming in for docking. It was the weirdest thing; like passing through a curtain. Anyway, what the weather gods are doing on the mainland might be different than what they're up to across the water! :O)

Thanks Kathy. We will keep an eye on the weather. I’ve had it rain on me at Pompeii, luckily it didn’t last too long.
