Sardinia to Corsica with baby

My partner, 10 month old baby and I will be in Sardinia for one week at the end of August. Can anyone advise whether a two day visit to Corsica from northern Sardinia is a good idea with a little one? And if so, the best mode of transportation to get there and back? Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

I don't really feel hat you need 2 days in Corsica- a day trip from Sardinia Sardinia was enough for us. A day trip from Santa theresa to Bonifscio allowed us to get a "taste" of Corsica. Stick with Sardinia this trip and plan for a deeper drive some other time.
Also, I think you'd have much more fun and relaxation in Alghero than 2 days in Corsica- Sardianians LOVE babies- and the wine is better!

Will you take a car with you?
There is a ferry that travels from Santa Teresa di Gallura to Bonifacio multiple times a day. It's a car ferry, so one can take the car. The ferry crossing is only 45-50 min, but you must check in substantially earlier than boarding time at the dock, so the entire process takes a bit longer. With only 2 nights, I'm not sure how much of Corsica one can see, maybe a quick visit to Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio, both of which are quaint towns. If you don't plan to have a car, then you can only visit Bonifacio (you don't even need a car for Bonifacio). You can do so in a day, just take the ferry as early as possible and return with the last one back on the same day. Since you say you only have a week in Sardinia, that is what I would do because one week for Sardinia is too short already.
