When in ..Alghero I plan on taking a few day trips. But dont know what towns to visit. I will have a car. Suggestions are greatly appreciated. TIA

In order of distance (all within 45-75 min drive from Alghero):
PORTO TORRES
STINTINO
BOSA
CASTELSARDO
Except for Bosa (which is south of Alghero) all the others above are north of Alghero.
I hope you have the time to have other bases, so that you can visit also the North-East side of the island.

The drive between Bosa and Alghero is comparable to Highway 1 in California around Big Sur. Plan to make stops for photos and maybe a swim. Really beautiful
