Sardinia and Puglia Hotels

Hello
We will be in Bari for two nights and then possibly Monopoli as a base to explore Matera, Martinia Franca and Ostuni.

From there we will be in Alghero and Santa Teresa Sardinia from Sept 27 to Oct. 3.

We will have a car but prefer hotels within walking distance to restaurants, towns, etc. We would appreciate any recommendations for nice hotels but don't want to break the bank. Location is key.

Thank you
Susan

The Hotel Corallaro in S.Teresa is near the city center, near the beach, and has a pool too. Parking is available next to the hotel, and shouldn’t be too busy when you go. Not sure if the prices meet your requirements.

I doubt you can find hotels with parking in Monopoli inside the walls of the historical center. Take a look on Booking.com and filter for parking. Maybe a bit outside you can find something within a short driving distance (or a longish walk).

In Monopoli, we stayed at Alberto Diffuso Monopoli. Quiet, 3 Star. We had a nice large room fronting on a quiet courtyard. Not expensive from what I see on-line. Nicely situated in old city, steps from Castello Carlos V, not far from the swimming beach at Porta Vecchia. https://albergodiffusomonopoli.it/. Nice breakfast. Marginal wi-fi.

There may be parking by Porta Vecchia, I don’t know if that would work for you or not.

We stayed there as part of our self-guided bike tour in Puglia, arranged by Puglia Cycle Tours.
