How much time do you have? Traveling from where? What do you want to do there?

Hi Zoe,
You helped me with Sicily last year. We had a great trip and fabulous adventure. Thank you! We are thinking about 12 nights total that is split with Corsica. Plan on going late September 2018. Fly in and out of Naples?? Then ferry or fly to either of the islands. This is my first inquiry,

Thanks again

See my more detailed reply in the other thread you started. Short answers to specific questions here:

  • 12 nights is not enough just to see Sardinia (this from a guy who "saw" Sicily in 5 days and doesn't mind moving very fast). We had 18 days on Sardinia and I had to make painful choices to skip things I really wanted to see, and I could have happily lingered longer in most of the places we went. My advice is to leave Corsica for another trip (or expand your trip to a month).

  • I'd start your trip before "mid" September - if you start 9/15 and stay for 12 days, the weather might cool a bit more than you want towards the end (if you want a lot of sun/beach time). I'd arrive roughly Sept 5-7.

  • Naples? Fuggedaboudit, Naples is just out of the way, you'll only burn both time and money going via there. Unless you have some reason to go there anyway, which would be fine, but check your flight options carefully, because....

  • Forget the ferry - unless you are driving to Italy in your own car and want to bring it to Sardinia (we saw many people from Germany, Switzerland, France, etc, who did that), otherwise flying just makes way more sense.

Hope that helps.
