I'm considering Sardinia for my first trip to Europe. Can anyone suggest a travel guide(s) that focus(es) on this area?

DK Eyewitness has a good one. I think Rough Guides has one as well - - I don't own it.

Lonely Planet and Rough Guide both have guides for Sardinia. Use DK to decide where to go and LP for how to get there. Any special reason for Sardinia? That's an unusual destination for a first European trip - not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

Anthony Bourdain has an episode on Sardinia that comes up from time to time on the Travel Channel. Looks like a beautiful and interesting island.
