Sant'Agata or Massa Lubrense ok for home base?

Considering staying in San'Agata dui due Golfi without a car in April. Owner reported buses there are very reliable and we will have no issues getting around. We like the idea of a nicer place with balcony without the high costs of sorrento. Thoughts? Anyone stayed in this village that has insight? Thanks!

San'Agata a lovely little town, reached by Sita bus or taxi from Caserta. The best restaurant is 'Lo Stuzzichino', situated in the square. After dinner stop by 'Bar Gregories.'

I've not stayed in Sant'Agata, only gone there for dinner (with car provided by the restaurant). I hope you have a chance to check it out: www.ristorantelostuzzichino.it.

Bus schedules available at https://www.sitasudtrasporti.it/orari with links to PDF versions. Using Sant'Agata as your home base means an additional 35 minute bus ride each way but it looks like frequency is good, even on Sundays. I don't know how many days in a row I'd want to do that, but it's not huge obstacle.
