sandals in churches

Hi: I know bare shoulders and knees aren't allowed in churches. What about sandals, with feet mostly exposed?

No problem in all the churches I've been on. florence, Siena, Orvieto. No one checks feet.

No one cares about footwear. Wear whatever is very comfortable.
