Has anyone been to this and do you suggest a tour of which I have only found one company ?
Hello Ginger my wife and I are planning to go there.
Kind Regards
I've been and it is a very good event. The town is old and evocative, there are many vendors and activities.
If you have a car there's no need for a tour, there are parking facilities along the main road and you take a shuttle bus uphill to the town center.
We are planning to attend on November 17th, driving over from Loro Ciuffenna, very small town in Tuscany
We've to many food festivals in Italy and San Miniato was one of the most memorable for us, even though it was a rainy day. For eating you can eat informally at different stands as you explore. You can also go to one of the local restaurants where they offer special truffle (tartufo) dishes. You do need to reserve ahead during the week prior. We went to Osteria L'Upupa and the 3 course truffle menu was to die for, and not particularly expensive.
