San Marino

Start with the CIA World Factbook (cia.gov and menu around). It's covered in the Michelin Green Guide for Italy and maybe other guidebooks as well. Interesting is how they limit executive power. If you decide to go there, a half-day will suffice. I have no idea how to get there except by car, but there must be a way to do it by bus.
