I'll be visiting San Gimignano for the second time. Last time we went to Sienna, Voltera, Chianti, Montepulciano, Cortona. What other places would you suggest? We will have a car and don't mind a 2 hour drive in any direction. We like the hill towns, smaller towns, rather than the larger ones. Thanks. Jim

Certaldo, Monteriggioni, Castello di Staggia (cool castle), a treat might be to see the Mad Butcher of Panzano, Dario Checchini. Google him. It is about an hour from San Gimi.
