San Filippo vs. Bagno Vignoni for Thermal Pools - which is best?

We'll be leaving Florence in a rental car and staying 1 night in Montepulciano. The next day we plan to head south, stop at Civita Bagno Reggio and then into Rome to return the rental car.

I would love to bathe in some hot thermal springs. I am looking at either San Filippo and Bagno Vignoni because they are an easy drive from Montepulciano and we do the hot springs on the day we leave Florence.

My question is which one is better for actually bathing in the waters?

Other concerns are:
Where to park?
How far a walk from the parking lot to the pools?
Is it safe to leave our luggage in the car? (as we will be doing the baths before check-in to our Airbnb in Montepulciano).

I'm also torn between going to a paid spa for the convenience and going to an outdoor natural site for the experience.

Any advice you have would be appreciated.

Grazie!

Thank you Gerri,
Water temp is important. We definitely want warm water vs. tepid.

We went to San Filippo, to the outdoor natural pools. It was a raw, rainy day in mid-May. The water was not as warm as I would have liked and the pools were not very deep. My husband really enjoyed it and stayed in the pools for about an hour. I was chilly even in the pools.
