Samantha Brown's Places to Love: Italy Part 1- Bologna

I came across this via my Instagram feed and thought I'd share.
Samantha Brown's Place to Love: Italy Part 1 - Bologna- Samantha explores Bologna’s Piazza Maggiore, its ancient university, medical school, and vast library. She discovers hidden canals and walks the city’s famed porticos to the San Luca sanctuary. With a chef, she shops the Quadrilatero, tastes mortadella, learns pasta-making, and visits a historic cutlery shop and a twins-run leather boutique.

Planning a daytrip to Bologna so this is great, thanks! Romeiwise and TourGuy on YouTube has great informative videos as well for those looking for info on Bologna.

I love Romewise and Florencewise, Elyssa does such a fantastic job with both. I also enjoy The Tour Guy, although I sometimes wonder how often they update things… unless Angel Castellanos really does own multiple versions of that same green V-neck sweater he seems to wear in each episode. 😉

There are a number of really nice walking tour videos on Youtube worth watching as well, some narrated or the ability to use close caption for details along the walks. I like to have pen/paper handy to take notes for further research. The videos really help me decide on which places I choose to visit.

I'm currently planning my first trip to Spain in April and will be returning to Italy in Sept/Oct (including Bologna), telling myself I need to focus only on Spain at the moment, but my heart gravitates towards Italy so much more. I told myself I'd watch the Samantha Brown Bologna episode upon my return from Spain, but couldn't wait.

Thank you, palmisanojm! I've edited my post with the correct title.

I've gone back to those videos a number of times, great information! They helped reinforce what I already felt...Bologna was for me!
