Hello,
First trip to Italy and wondering how tight you can arrange things. Are the trains pretty punctual? Does it take much time to exit? For example, if the train is expected to arrive at 1:52 in Salerno, and the TravelMar ferry to Positano leaves at 2:10, is that enough time to get off the train and walk down a few blocks to the pier (assuming I already have a boarding pass for the ferry?) Or should I allow an hour or so? Thanks in advance.
Hello,
If your train is on time or only a few minutes late you could easily make it. If not just, take the next ferry. No stress!
Not to mention the ferry departure may be delayed as well.
I wouldn't buy the ticket in advance, unless you're sure that it is valid on for any departure on that day.
That's right. The walk to the Concordia pier is less than 10 minutes. For a goole map of the pier and station, enter Salerno Travelmar Ticket. Hustle, because the next one is at 3:30.
The walk is all on pavement with a slight downhill incline.
