How much does a taxi cost from the train station in Salerno to Ravello? Can I go by ferry from Salerno to Amalfi and then by taxi to Ravello? Cost? We are travelling 11Oct.2010

A taxi will cost you about 100 Euros, but I can get you there for much less: 1a. SITA bus from 5 yards outside Salerno train station to Amalfi: 75 minutes and 3.60 Euros. Purchase ticket at newsstand inside the station. OR 1b. TRAVELMAR (Cooperativa Sant'Andrea) ferry boat from Concordia Dock (400 yards from train station) to Amalfi: 35 minutes and 6 Euros. SERVICE STOPS AROUND THE END OF OCTOBER, also does not run in bad weather. CONNECTION 2. SITA bus from Amalfi to Ravello: 25 minutes and 2.40 Euros. If the ferries are running on Oct 11 TAKE the Ferry from Salerno to Amalfi and then the bus from Amalfi up to Ravello. It is such a BEAUTIFUL journey!!!!!!
