We will have been in Atrani and Cetera and then heading back towards Naples. We would like to see Pompeii and maybe Vesuvias, and then back to the airport for our flight. Where should we stay?

We stayed in Piano di Sorrento, just north of Sorrento. We had car, but also used the handy Circumvesuviana train for access the Pompeii and Herculaneum ruins, as well as Naples for the National Archaeological Museum. For what it’s worth, Sorrento also had the ferry to the island of Capri.
