I am trying to plan a Saint Peter's Basilica visit and am seeing lots of conflicting information online! Any help with the following questions would be greatly appreciated!
1) We are interested in a Dome tour. If I buy timed Dome tour tickets online in advance does that allow us to get through security in an expedited way or do we have to wait in the same lines as everyone else who does not have tickets?
2) The Saint Peter's website says, that the Dome tour tickets "includes access to Saint Peter’s Basilica to be completed 90 minutes before the scheduled entry time to the Dome. Does this mean that we need to be finished touring Saint Peter's Basilica 90 minutes before our Dome tour time or does it mean that we can tour Saint Peter's in the 90 minutes leading up to the Dome tour?
3) Relatedly, can we do the Dome Tour first and then walk around Saint Peter's after? Or after climbing the Dome will we have the exit the Basilica and stand in line again if we want to see anything else in the church?
