We have an early flight out of Naples and need assistance in locating a safe, inexpensive hotel in Naples.

Given the closeness of the airport to the city (6km or 4 miles) I would stay in the city and have my hotel organise a taxi. The area around the airport is NOT an attractive place to stay, although if you do want to be as close as possible then the nearest hotel to the airport is the Charming International Hotel.

Last May I arrived in Napoli late at night and got the last room at Hotel Terminus, just across the street from the train station. Very comfortable, they will reserve a taxi for you the next morning. Many years ago this was a rundown property but it is now part of a chain and has been completely redone. Inexpensive, too.

Early in the morning from the city center a taxi will get you to the airport in 5 to 10 minutes.
Of all big cities in the world, Naples is one city with the airport closest to the city center. Only San Diego has an airport that is as close to downtown in North America.

Last May we had to find a hotel and fly out of Naples at the last minute
on an early morning flight. Stelle Hotel right next to train station turned
out to be very reasonable, clean & modern, safe and they called taxi and
we were at airport in 10 minutes at 6am...highly recommend...Mike

It's 15-20 minutes from Naples Historic Centre to the airport, so you won't need an airport hotel. Depending on your budget, the Hotel Piazza Bellini is fantastic and right in the thick of the gorgeous historic centre. Sorbillo's pizza is just around the corner. You could have the best pizza in the world before you go home!
