I'd like to visit the Sacra di Michele outside of Turin during my visit. It looks like the train/bus option is best for me, as I won't be renting a car or hiking the route. Has anyone visited the abbey via the train/bus? Easy to do? Helpful hints? Impressions of your visit, for those that have been?

We visited during the Winter Olympics 2006. We actually hiked up during a drizzle, so kind of a challenge. Looking back, I’m glad we did it. Many beautiful views and the Stations of the cross along the route. The Abbey is amazing.

I had the abbey on my initial itinerary as a possibility, but after reading months ago what you recently shared, it's a must. I'm curious to know how easy it is to get there via the bus/train route.
As you probably saw, the only public transport I could find was on Sat. + Sun + Holidays (festivi) from April 5 to October 26. A small bus (navette) meets a train from Turin five times a day. https://sacradisanmichele.com/en/informazioni/#comearrivare
