We are in Italy preparing to pick-up a Hertz rental car in two days through RyanAir. My husband and I have rented a number of times in Europe, and many times had an intl driving license, but never been asked for it. Now we are in a panic after reading recent posts on nonresidents driving in Italy, because this time we did not get an intl license. Does anyone know if we will be able to pick this car up at the Pisa airport????

I'm not sure but I have read that you can easily pick up an international driver's license at AMA, or your local vehicle registry. I plan to look into this soon as I will need one as well.
