Russell,
You will get more replies if your subject says "Pensione Pendini" rather than your name.

We did stay there and loved it! elegant in an old-world way, nice breakfast buffet, great location.

Russ,

You may want to change the title of your post, as you'll likely get more replies to your questions.

After a couple of laughs to the above responses, I actually have an answer for you. I stayed at Pendini in Florence last June and liked it very much. The location is great. Recently spruced up - so the rooms are nice and fresh. Modern bathrooms, very clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast room with good, European style breakfast included. Just request a quiet room when you book. I only have positive things to say about Pendini.

Don't feel bad in any way. The Rick Steve crowd likes to get a few laughs in. You should have seen the responses I received when I asked about crowd-beating tips. This is a great group to glean info. from - enjoy.

'Crowd-beating tips' would be fine with me; 'crowd beating tips' would cause me worry ;-)

(Oh, wait - that would depend on the crowd...)

Hi, Russ! Ummmm, no - I've never stayed at Pensione Perdini. Sorry.

Hey everybody, thanks for all the great advice. Also, if I made anybody laugh with my original post, I'm thrilled. You all seem like a great bunch and I look forward to talking to everybody about our upcoming trip in March. We're going to Egypt again for a while then on to Italy for 10 days. Look forward to talking to you all. Thank You Russ (ps, I was on here a few years back, but kinda forgot how to do it)

Hi Russ -- Here's another vote for the Pendini. We stayed there years ago. Perfect location. Beautiful rooms with high painted ceilings. Worth checking into.
