RS Sicily Guide Book Evaluation

Yes - as can be expected from all RS books - this Sicily book is excellent, too.
I read it cover-to-cover to learn what I’d missed after three trips to Sicily. Happily, close to nothing - so travelers who have yet to experience the joys of Sicily are in for a real treat. One Guidebook does it all.
Great work from the RS Staff - especially Sarah and Alfio.
And great work from the Sicily historians - nice interweaving of Sicily’s complex history. You made it all come alive without bogging it down.
I’m a solo woman traveler - backpack & Airbnb traveler. This book does a great job giving an even-handed assessment of the logistics of Sicily travel.
Lucky for me, my favorite little towns didn’t make the book so they remain “backdoor” gems.
Mine! All mine!
Given the choice, I do wish all RS books were printed on the very thin paper stock used in his “country” books. Every ounce matters - the lighter the better.
Question: I loved the WWII museum in Catania. It was my understanding from the fluent guide that the audio presented during the “air raid attack” was actual WWII archival audio. Was I incorrect?
Worth visiting (and I’m not a WWII history buff).
Next door to the War Museum is the Sicilian Movie Museum. Also very interesting. Francis Ford Coppola donated the desk Marlon Brando and Al Pacino used in The Godfather movies to the museum.
Sometimes these non-church, non-museum experiences are grand. (And I love all museums).
Thanks again to Sarah, Alfio, and Rick.
