Rooms in Vernazza

We're looking at staying at the Albergo Barbara above the restaurant Taverna Capitano. ( In Vernazza) We'll be there in late October.
The question is...is there a lot of noise from the restaurant up to the rooms?? We probably crash about 10 pm. Is there any kitchen noise in the morning?
Thanking any one for their input. Kelly G

Since you're planning to be there at the end of October, crowds and noise that you might experience in high season would be much less. (I have not stayed at that hotel.) Most places will honor a request for a quieter room, but there might be a trade-off with whatever view is available.

Thank you Laura. That's about what I thought. We were In Vernazza in 2005 and had a wonderful meal at Taverna Capitano so we wanted to take advantage of being on the piazza and having a great restaurant near by. Kelly G

We stayed right above the restaurants last July. The apartment only had shutters-no actual window panes-so the sounds did come in, but I found it soothing. The "dull roar" lulled me to sleep!

It was the thunder the next morning that was hard to sleep through... Loudest claps of thunder I've ever heard!!!!

Have a great time!

We stayed with Elisabetta on our last trip. Nothing fancy but your room comes with a terrace looking over the Ligurian Sea.
If I have one tip for you, try to book Cinque Terre during the week. The weekends are getting much too crowded.
