La Mala', in Vernazza. It is a real splurge, but worth it, if you can swing it. And, it's probably booked up by now for July, but you never know ...

I suggest you stay in Manarola, the least touristy of the towns. We have just come from there and even in late April there were lots of tourists in the Cinque Terre. We stayed in a room with PB at Cappellini Giovanni. Phone 011-39-187-736765. I think it was Rick Steves' suggestion (or the Rough Guide.)Gianni does not speak English but the room was nice, though a couple of flights of stairs up and at the top of the village. We paid 46 Euro at end of April. Good luck! J. Blake
