Room service dishes…self quarantine

I don’t know the etiquette protocol. However, if I were quarantined i suspect that those protocols should be temporarily suspended. I would definitely leave it outside the door. You could also notify the staff that the tray is in the hallway ready for pickup.

I would call the "room service people" (whoever you called to order) and ask what they would prefer, feel better! I mean, I always call for tray pickup normally just to make sure nothing is sitting around looking unseemly, so its a bonus that they would be able to instruct you.
