We will be spending the last few nights of our Italy trip in Milan and are considering this hotel. We had a great experience with a Room Mate hotel in Madrid (the Alba, on Calle de las Huertas) - excellent and attentive staff, nice quality rooms, great breakfast buffet, reasonable rates (at least for central Madrid). They accommodated a last minute room booking that was a result of a cancelled flight, and we liked it so much we kept asking ourselves why we hadn't stayed there in the first place. The Giulia looks to be well situated for sightseeing, being a 3 minute walk from the Duomo, . I am hoping the Giulia is the equal of the Madrid hotel (TA reviews are stellar), but if anyone here has experience with this hotel and could provide some feedback, I would be much obliged
I don't have experience, but you might also check reviews on Booking.com, where only people who have actually stayed at the hotel can leave a review (not true for TA). Booking gives the property a "wonderful" rating.
Ditto--verified reviews usually do it for me. I have stayed in one of the chain's other hotels and would again.
The location of RoomMate Giulia is great, and reviews look good. We would have stayed 2 nights there when we went to Milan in 2022, but I had some free nights at a Marriott to use, so we stayed at nearby Hotel Straf instead.
Thanks for the replies-I looked at the Booking.com reviews as well, which were as good as the ones on TA. The location does look great, walking distance to the Duomo and several other central city sights, and if their staff is like the staff at the Alba in Madrid, I think we have a winner.
