We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary and would like a nice rooftop view of Rome for our anniversary dinner. We are willing to pay more than usual for this special dinner but don't want to mortgage the house either for the dinner. Any suggestions?

For the best seat in town you can't beat the Hotel Forum Roma http://www.hotelforumrome.com/ . The food is good, but not exceptional. My favorite view/food quality is at the Fortyseven Hotel http://www.fortysevenhotel.com . It seems all the best rooftop spots belong to hotels. Check out TA too. I just celebrated an anniversary in Rome too. We did the Michelin starred thing but had a much better (and much cheaper) experience at The Library. We did cocktails only at The Hassler then moved on to dinner. Congrats on 30 years!
